The Miami Lakes town council recognized Antigua College International for its decade-long commitment to providing higher education in the health care field for working adults.
Vice Mayor Tony Fernandez read a proclamation at the July 9 meeting and declared July 12 as ‘Antigua College International Day.’
“This is great for our college, this is great for our work, this is great for our students,” said Chief Executive Officer Dr. Diony Antigua.
The school, at 14505 Commerce Way, offers nursing degrees, focuses on students with international backgrounds and helps integrate them into the community.
“… We ended up doing what we love,” Antigua said. “Helping people achieve their dreams.” Antigua said. “Thank you, Town of Miami Lakes, thank you to the mayor of this beautiful town for giving us the opportunity to serve this community, and thank you to all of the members for all the things you do for us, for all the support that you give to us so that we can continue doing what we do.”
