What does it mean to “Keep It Real?”

At the start of the new school year, Dade Christian School (DCS) polled some of its students and faculty members about what “Keeping It Real” means to them. Their responses:

• “To be honest with yourself and who you are.”

• “Being faithful and being truthful with yourself and your peers.”

• Having faith in God and being real with yourself and others around you.”

• Being who you are and not trying to be something you’re not.”

• Being who God has called you to be.”

As a Christian school, the goal at DCS is to be passionate about loving God and loving people, and that students would have a desire to live each day with integrity and authenticity, and to always “keep it real!”

DCS opened the 2014-2015 school year under the guidance of newly appointed leaders Susan Alexander and Dr. Monique Cummings. All of its faculty, from kindergarten to 12th grade, have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher an are FACCS certified.

An Early Enrichment Center opened during the summer providing a safe and nurturing environment for infants ages 3 to 23 months.

DCS is located at 6601 N.W. 167 Street, just north of Miami Lakes. For more information, or to schedule a tour of the campus, contact the Admissions Office at 305-827-8767.
