Dade Christian School welcomed Paul A. Humphreys as the new principal and New Testament Baptist Church (NTBC) superintendent of schools. He will focus on the mission of developing every child in mind, body and spirit. He believes that cultivating creative thinkers using a well-balanced approach can produce compassionate Christian global citizens.
Humphreys began his life-long educational journey at Baptist University of America in Decatur, Georgia. Upon graduation, he remained at the university as an instructor and coached the college varsity boys basketball and baseball teams. He graduated with a bachelors of science degree in secondary education, and continued his education at Union Institute and University where he received his masters of education in educational leadership with proficiency in middle school and high school.
Humphreys has also led several seminars on the topics of curriculum, discipline and athletic continuing education programs. In the process of completing his education, Humphreys became an ordained minister to meet the needs of all families with love and respect.
His longstanding educational career has included teaching, coaching and leadership positions at Masters Christian Academy, Florida Christian School, Dade Christian School and Hollywood Christian School. He has successfully led three schools through accreditation and successfully completed with high honors.
Humphreys believes strongly in Christian education and is passionate about leading Dade Christian School into a bright future.
Humphreys is married to Cathy Humphreys, and together they have six children and 11 grandchildren. Humphreys’ wife spent 26 years in Korea as a missionary, and also has a master’s degree in counseling from Liberty University.
