The alumnus were recognized during the Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Hilton Miami Downtown, which benefits the Alumni Scholarship Fund, for their professional accomplishments and contributions to their community.
Piderman is a retired City of Miami deputy fire chief, serving for 30 years.
As a Lieutenant, Piderman served as a spokesman for the Miami Fire Department.
Among his credentials are degrees in fire science and emergency medical services from Miami-Dade College, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in public administration.
In civic duty, Piderman was one of the original Miami Lakes Charter Committee members, which designed the document on how the newly-minted government should be formed and operated.
Other 2016 Hall of Fame honorees included Nestor Caballero, an accountant; Ricardo J. Fernandez, an architect; Roberto R. Munoz, a banker; and Williams Aristide, the principal at Booker T. Washington High School.
