Giving Gators awards scholarship to HML graduate Denisse Pino

On June 1, the non-profit Giving Gators awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Hialeah Miami Lakes High School (HML) senior Denisse Pino along with a new MacBook Pro, shopping store gift cards and more.
Giving Gators founder Daylin Garcia said “Denisse is an extraordinary student with a compelling story. Although our organization worked hard to choose one student from various local schools, it was without a doubt that she would be the one.
Garcia also recognized HML’s Trust Counselor Odalys Acosta for mentoring Pino and for working with the organization, and expressed appreciation to all Giving Gators sponsors for contributing and making the day memorable for both Denisse and her mom.
