Barbara Goleman Senior High School celebrated its 20th Anniversary Grand Alumni Homecoming Celebration on Saturday, November 8. The day was filled with exciting events that kept the visiting alumni, over 400 in total, entertained and engaged.

In celebration of its anniversary, the school treated all attending alumni to an Alumni Pep-Rally. Entertainment included performances by the Jewels Dance Team, Goleman Cheerleaders, and Goleman Dazzlers, with a special appearance by alumni William Levy, Cuban American actor.

The pep-rally also included a touching session of Goleman reminiscing among former principals, Jorge Sotolongo and Dr. Marcos Moran, and former teachers. A proclamation by Miami Lakes Mayor Slaton concluded the event.

The alumni were also able to look back on some of the most memorable athletic performances of Barbara Goleman history with the attendance and recognition of former members of the football, basketball, and baseball state champion teams. After the in-school festivities, alumni, faculty, and current students alike were invited to Milander Park to support the Goleman Gator football team in Barbara Goleman’s 20th homecoming football game.
