Students at Hialeah Gardens Middle School (HGMS) are the latest recipients of LearnFit Adjustable Standing Desks, a donation made by Ergotron Inc. in partnership with the American Dairy Association & Dairy Council (ADADC) and Fuel Up to Play 60, in an effort to enhance health and learning. Several studies have underscored the negative effects of prolonged sitting.
Ergotron and ADADC representatives will meet with students to assemble and install desks. Students will learn more about how proper nutrition, such as starting the day with a wholesome breakfast, and physical activity, exemplified through the addition of their LearnFit desks, can promote better health and academic performance.
