Seven Hialeah Miami Lakes High School Trojan Band students were selected to participate in the University of Miami Honor Band at the Frost School of Music. The students worked around the clock with college professors to perform an impressive performance in the Gusman Concert Hall. They also had the opportunity to explore the campus and receive individual attention in small master classes. The HML students selected were (from left) Daniel Valentin, Jorge Acin, George Nuñez, Jesus Perez, Enrique Jurado, Maricela Dominguez, and Christian Dedios. “This is the largest number of students that has been selected from HML in over six years. I am very proud of them,” said band director Sara Cowley.
