Hialeah Miami Lakes High School Choir and Jazz Band teamed up to commemorate Hispanic Heritage month in October. The two award winning groups performed songs with a Latin flair for students, faculty and staff in the school’s auditorium. The choir, led by director Shanita Hunt, featured songs such as “Vivir Mi Vida” by Marc Anthony. The Jazz Band took the stage and kept students clapping with their versions of several Latin Jazz favorites like “Mambo Hot” and “Sway.” HML also observed Hispanic Heritage Month with several activities including performances by the drama club for students and a display in the art gallery created by art students following the Latin theme.
