Hialeah-Miami Lakes High’s CTE teacher Ray Parris won the first NFTE Model Teacher Challenge, a highly competitive contest for educators across the U.S., who teach NFTE’s entrepreneurship courses to middle and high school students.
Parris, a digital media teacher, was recognized as the winner during the NFTE’s Entrepreneurial Teacher Summit in Philadelphia.
Parris received a $20,000 cash prize and HML received $5,000 to fund resources that support entrepreneurship education.
