Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High School student C’yara M. Bryant is ahead of the game. The HML senior completed her Associate’s degree from Miami Dade College before even having graduated from high school.
Bryant is a member of HML’s Advanced Studies program where students earn college credits while still attending high school. At HML, students enrolled in Dual Enrollment courses are able to complete college courses taught by their high school teachers without leaving the campus.
Bryant, who is also a member of the Student Government Association and the school’s Sapphire Dance Team, has also been accepted to Florida A & M University in Tallahassee where she will be attending in the fall.
