HML Trojan band wins first place at Boca Raton Calvacade meet

The Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High School (HML) marching band brought home a big win from their participation at the Boca Raton Cavalcade Marching Band Competition on September 29. Under the direction of Kevin Segura, the Trojan Marching Band won first place overall in addition to winning best music, best general effect, best individual music, best arching and maneuvering, and best auxillary. Community members can see the band in person and help them compete throughout the year. On Saturday, October 27, the band will hold a fundraising car wash in the McDonald’s parking lot at 7435 Miami Lakes Drive West. The cost is $5 per car and $7 for larger vehicles.
