Immaculate Conception students bring home awards for media work

Immaculate Conception Catholic School has the most up-to-date media center of all middle schools in Miami-Dade County and on Saturday, October 15, the school showed off its talent with the student-led news team. The team attended the 44th Annual Florida Scholastic Press Association Journalism Day at Florida International University. 

Students competed for District Titles and had the opportunity to interview Local 10 news anchor, Calvin Hughes. The Immaculate Conception News Team brought back four District Titles.  
Max Ganem won first place for Broadcast Anchor in the middle school district and would have placed in the High School District. Sarah Gonzalez and Mathew Del Cristo won second place for Middle School Multimedia. Enrique De La Osa, Ganem and Alyssa Barcello won first place for the Sports News Package.
