Kelly Falcon earns Cervantes Award

Kelly Falcon, a junior at Hialeah Miami Lakes High, won first place in the High School Division of the “Cervantes Outstanding Student Essay Awards” presented by Nova Southeastern University’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education Hispanic Advisory Board. Her 500-word essay was selected amongst the submissions of public and private schools across the district. HML principal Eric Acosta is pictured with Regional superintendent Vivian Santiesteban-Pardo, Falcon, and her Advanced Placement Spanish teacher Egberto Bermudez.
