Lawton Chiles Middle School excels at STEAM expo

Lawton Chiles Middle School (LCMS) announced its accomplishments in this year’s Miami-Dade County 2019 STEAM Expo on January 26.
LCMS’s students Eddy Paiz and Umed Bokhari won first place in the bridge building competition. Students Emma Caraballo and Ignacio Ariza won first place in the robotics competition with their robotic hand. In March they will compete in the bottle rocket competition and the egg drop competition.
LCMS thanked Rafael Nuñez Jr. for the beautiful banner created to represent LCMS in the Expo. He also created and designed the patch design that will represent their bottle rocket team.
