M-D Schools’ Alberto M. Carvalho receives Cervantes Educator honor

Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho was presented with the prestigious Cervantes Outstanding Educator Award in late October at the Miami Airport Hilton. Named for famed 15th century Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes, the award is presented annually by The Nova Southeastern University’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education to honorees who have made significant contributions to promote excellence in the education of Hispanic students.
