Mater Academy’s Key Club dominated the Florida Key Club 79th District Education and Leadership Conference, winning Gold in each category the group competed in while demonstrating excellence performance among their peers.
Among the awards, Mary Pino was named Advisor of the Year and Mater Key Club as “Key Club Chapter of the Year”, shining as the most prominent and accomplished club in the entire state of Florida.
The annual DCON is held each spring for over 2,000 students in the state of Florida. DCON provides for district officer elections, international candidates endorsement, club officer and member training, keynote and motivational speakers, individual and club awards for their dedication to service, zone caucuses, and social events.
DCON offers participants leadership training, shared experiences with members of other clubs, and a better understanding of Key Club International, a highly motivational and socially enjoyable environment that will inspire them as they return to their home clubs and carry out the mission of Key Club.
