Mater Academy celebrated the accomplishments of two students who were Honorable Mentions during The Miami Herald‘s Sliver Knight Awards last month.
Students Yanisbel Ruiz received an Honorable Mention award for Business; Damian Dawson won an Honorable Mention for Drama.
The Silver Knight Award is one of the nation’s most highly regarded student awards programs that recognizes outstanding students who have maintained good grades and unselfishly applied their special knowledge and talents to contribute significant service to their schools and communities.
Silver Knight winners receive $2,000, a Silver Knight statue and a medallion presented by American Airlines. Honorable Mention winners receive $500 and an engraved plaque.
