Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students from Mater Academy recently won two Gold Medals, four Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal during the 2016 FCCLA National Leadership Conference and Competition in San Diego, California.
Adrian Cruz and Alejandro Landivar won Gold Medals for Sports Nutrition, and Silver Medals were awarded to Rodolfo Hernandez, Danett Garcia and Dyana Padron for Focus on Children and Jonathan Alicea for Nutrition and Wellness.
Gisenia Correa won the Bronze for Focus on Children.
The students competed among their peers by attending workshops and leadership sessions and challenged each other in STAR events.
