Fourteen Mater Lakes Academy students were honored at a luncheon hosted by Doral College on Thursday, February 16. The luncheon was to congratulate the students on their upcoming graduation from Doral College.
Doral College hosted the luncheon at Morton’s Steakhouse with all the high school students that are completing the program attending. Douglas Rodriguez, president of Doral College, addressed the students and commended them for their hard work and perseverance. These students will also be receiving a scholarship from Doral College to be used for their post-secondary education.
“These students are incredible!” said Mater Lakes principal Rene F. Rovirosa. “They are driven, determined, and hardworking individuals. We are so proud of all they have done and are excited to see what they will do next. They will be great leaders in our community and we have no doubt that they will represent the ‘Clan of the Bears’ with pride and honorably.”
These fourteen students have worked throughout their four years in Mater Lakes Academy to not only become top-ranking graduates at Mater Lakes Academy, but to also graduate with enough college credits to graduate with an associate’s degree.
