Mater Lakes Academy principal Rene F. Rovirosa was selected as a 2017 Charter School Champion Leader Award by the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS).
The Florida Consortium honored winners of its 2017 Florida Charter School Champion Awards which were presented at the recent Florida Charter School Conference in Daytona Beach on November 2.
For the sixth consecutive year, FCPCS received nominations in several categories, and Rovirosa was nominated as a charter school leader. The FCPCS created the Charter School Champions awards to recognize exceptional talent, innovation, and leadership within the Florida charter school movement.
FCPCS provides a wide array of technical support, mentoring, training, networking, and purchasing services to its membership, as well as serving as an advocate for all Florida public charter schools.
“I am honored, and humbled by this award,” said Rovirosa. “I am not only honored to receive this award but I am honored to lead an exemplary group of faculty, staff, and students.”
