Mater Lakes Academy student Veronica Ginzo was the first state winner for the Lions Club International’s Peace Poster Contest.
The contest allows youths between the ages of 11 and 13 the opportunity to share their artistic vision for peace by creating a poster that reflects their plans for a better place to live in.
Since its inception in 1988, millions of children around the world have participated in the contest, entering a poster and photos that showcase the beauty of nature.
