Mater Academy High’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) team recently competed in the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, where the Lions finished among the top chapters in America.
From June 28 through July 1, the Mater Academy team demonstrated excellence performance, which earned them a first place finish in business financial, sixth place in business plan and eighth place for banking and finance.
The students competed in leadership events, shared their successes and learned new ideas about sharping the future of their careers through workshops and exhibits. The four-day conference is considered the pinnacle of the FBLAexperience, especially for students who are considering running for public office someday.
The conference has forged partnerships with industry leaders to underwrite competitive events and scholarships for students achieving national ranking.
