Mater's Kevin Mendez wins UCF Pegasus Scholarship honor

Mater Academy senior Kevin Mendez recently won the University of Central Florida’s Peagasus Scholarships Award making him the first student from his high school to win the award.
Pegasus Scholarships Programs are awarded to entering high school graduates by undergraduate admissions to recognize outstanding academic performance.
Mendez qualifies for scholarship programs including the National Merit Scholarship, National Achievement Scholarship, National Hispanic Scholars Scholarship, Knights Achievement Waiver and the Provost Scholarship.
For the Scholarships Programs to pay for tuition, room and board among other things, Mendez must be a full-time student with a minimum of 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester and maintain a good college GPA.
