Miami Lakes’ First Lady, Melissa Cid, reads to BGEC students

Dressed as The Cat in the Hat, the First Lady of Miami Lakes, Melissa Cid visited the students at Bob Graham Education Center on March 2 for Read Across America Day, a day that celebrates reading and the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The National Education Association put forth this initiative to encourage annual reading and awareness that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading. Cid visited selected classes to read Dr. Seuss books to the students. She was welcomed by principal Yecenia Martinez-Lopez.
