Miami Lakes K-8 Center hosts first painting with parents night

On March 13, Miami Lakes K-8 Center (MLK8) hosted its first ever Painting with Parents night. The night welcomed almost 200 students, parents, siblings and teachers through two separate hour-long sessions. MLK8 art teachers Gary Anuez and Maria Ordaz led the groups through painting their own recreations of Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night.” From novice painterss to experts alike, everyone had a great time creating their own masterpieces and spending some quality time with family and friends. MLK-8 students, parents, siblings and teachers are pictured creating their own masterpieces.
