     The Miami-Dade County Library branch in Miami Lakes is offering the following online and in-person programs. Space is limited, you must register in advance to receive a link via email.

Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing for Toddlers en dos idiomas 

Tues., April 19 and 26. 11:30 a.m. – noon.

Bilingual stories, songs and activities. Ages 18 mos. - 3.

REV + FLOW Functional Fitness Thurs., April 14, 21 and 28. 

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.  Strengthen and sculpt your muscles with the REV+FLOW fitness method, work on developing strength and balance with low impact exercises suitable for all fitness levels. Led by a certified instructor.  Ages 19+. 

Creative relaxation yoga for kids and families - Online

Sat., April 16 

11 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Songs and simple exercises release tension, build strength, balance and improve flexibility. Class uses visual clues for students on the autism spectrum. Ages 8+.

Sensory Friendly family storytime

Sat., April 16, 3 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Inclusive program with stories, music, rhymes and movement for children of all abilities. Bring your own comfort items. All ages.

Earth Day Craft: Paint a Birdhouse Tues., April 19

4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

Let’s celebrate Earth Day by painting and decorating birdhouses for our feathered friends. Ages 12 - 18.

Scratch Coding Basics - Online

Learn to program and make interactive games, animations, arts and stories using the Scratch program. Ages 8 - 12.

Spanish Guitar Performance Wed., April 27 

4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

Guitarist Frank V. performs a variety of classical and flamenco works. All ages.

Take and Make Crafts

Sat., April 30 all day

Check out some books and pick up a fun craft kit to create at home. Available while supplies last. Ages 3 - 9.

The library is at 6699 Windmill Gate Rd. and is open Mon. - Thurs., 9:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., Fri. and Sat. 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., closed Sunday.
