    The Miami-Dade County Library branch in Miami Lakes is offering the following online and in-person classes.  Space is limited. In most cases, you must register in advance.

     Free 2022 Hurricane preparation guides are available at all branches.

Homework Help & Tutoring Program -- In Person

Zoom with science fiction author Mark Muncy about the five scariest places in So. Fla., then a Q&A with the author.

Teen Library Card Design Contest Finale

Sat., Oct. 29, 1:30 - 3 p.m.

Three winning designs revealed, plus an art lesson with environmental artist Dayna Cortes.

Ready, Set Go Miami! 

Tues., Nov. 1, 8, 11:30 a.m. - Noon

Workshop to promote literacy through topics such as nature. Parents will receive tips for reading with kids and other activities. Presented by The Children’s Trust Parent Club.

Bird Suncatcher Craft

Wed., Nov. 2, 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Create your own bird-themed suncatcher. Materials provide.

Stem Saturday

    The library at 6699 Windmill Gate Rd. is open Mon. - Thurs., 9:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Fri. and Sat. 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.  It is closed Sundays and some Mondays.
