Miami Lakes Educational Center’s (MLEC) Cambridge Academy announced that Robert Michan Walsh, a senior in the journalism strand, earned the highest marks in the country on the Thinking Skills Exam.

Students in the Cambridge Academy take a series of exams written to go along with a rigorous curriculum designed by Cambridge University in England. Students who pass the exams earn university credits.

At MLEC, Cambridge students take a minimum of six AICE courses, along with Advanced Placement courses. Walsh is an AICE diploma recipient with merit, an honor that means he was among the top percentile of test takers world-wide.
