Sana Chaudhry, a Miami Lakes Educational Center senior in the journalism strand of the Cambridge Academy, was one of five students selected for the Bank of America Student Leaders Program.
Every year, Student Leaders connects promising high School juniors and seniors to jobs that help prepare them for a brighter future. The program recognizes high school students that step outside the classroom to serve their own communities and beyond.
Students leaders are awarded paid summer internships with local nonprofits and participate in the Student Leadership Summit. They travel to Washington, D.C. and work with their Congressional leaders and other government officials.
Chaudhry met and worked with both Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Rep. Frederica Wilson.
