The National Junior Honor Society and Elementary Honor Society at Miami Lakes K-8 Center participated in the 4th Annual Costume Drive to benefit the children at Branches Community Center.
Branches Community Center provides life-changing opportunities to working poor families to help them and their children break the cycle of generational poverty. The MLK-8 honor societies worked together with the support of the community and collected over 200 costumes during the month of October and delivered them to the children that are members at the Branches Community Center.
The MLK-8 students shared Halloween treats they brought for the children and played together. The National Junior Honor Society and Elementary Honor Society at MLK-8 are determined to help the community and inspire others to be the best they can be.
