MLK-8 top FSA students celebrate at Shula's 2

Mrs. Virnalis Arvelo, eighth grade Language Arts teacher at Miami Lakes K-8 Center, took her top FSA achieving students to dinner at Shula's 2 to celebrate their accomplishments. "This is my ninth year continuing with this motivating ritual and I absolutely couldn't be prouder of this class. This class improved their passing rate by 11 percent, so in my book they are all winners! The students invited all earned a five and some even a perfect 10 on the writing portion”. Congratulations to an unforgettable class!"
