February was a “great month” for a group of students at Miami Lakes Middle School. The 98 students achieved their goal when they met the requirements for the “I-ROCK, I READY” incentive program, completing at least 250 minutes of instructional activities with an overall performance of 75 percent or above on a monthly basis. On March 3, the students were rewarded, during a ceremony, with a Certificate of Recognition, movie, soda and popcorn. “The incentive program is in full effect through the end of the school year in an effort to motivate students to complete their i-Ready Math activities,” said Omaida Torres, the school’s Mathematics Department chairperson.
