Monsignor Edward Pace High School is marking its 62nd year educating young people. The Catholic high school is hosting an open house for prospective students this month.
Guests will be welcomed to the 44-acre campus in Miami Gardens on Saturday, Oct. 21, to tour the classrooms and athletic facilities at 15600 NW 32nd Ave.
The first session will be held at 8:30 a.m., followed by the second session at 10:30 a.m.
Attendees should register on Eventbrite for free mobile tickets.
The school, with 900 students enrolled in grades 9 – 12, is owned by the Archdiocese of Miami.
Spartans compete at local, state and national levels in 14 sports, including baseball, football; softball; cross country; beach volleyball, coed wrestling and soccer and basketball teams for boys and girls, said Surella Rodriguez, director of alumni relations.
Students also have up to 70 social and academic clubs and societies to choose from.
Sixty-nine percent of Pace’s teachers hold advanced degrees.
The school boasts a 100 percent graduation rate, with 99 percent continuing to college and 1 percent joining the military, Rodriguez said.
