Under the leadership of Miami Children Theatre’s Marcela Paguaga, assisted by Our Lady of the Lakes teacher, Nicole Peña, 15 students participated in an OLL Fourth Grade Acting Club.
For two months, rising actors, actresses, and public speakers learned various acting and speaking techniques as well as how to be an ensemble. The Acting Club experience also provided them with the opportunity of finding how powerful their individual voices by itself can be when adequately trained.
At the end of year performance in May, students entertained their audience with monologues they had prepared for the occasion. It was a performance also performed for their classmates before the summer break.
