OLL Third graders honor their grandparents

     Third grade students at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School prepared awards for their elders to wear during Grandparents Day, held Sept. 6 at the P2K - 8th grade school in Miami Lakes.  Grandparents were invited to share a light breakfast in the school cafeteria, visit their grandchildren’s classrooms and attend Mass, according to teacher Christine Calvino, who took the photos.   Shown in the foreground of the photo while cutting out paper medals are, from left: Matthew Gonzalez and Victoria Gonzalez. In the second photo, Noelle Mesa holds paper medals she made for her grandparents for the Grandparents Day event at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School in Miami Lakes.
