Pace alumni, family and friends mingle at Spring Spartan Happy Hour

Alumni from every past decade along with friends and family of Pace High School gathered for the Spring 2016 Spartan Happy Hour at Sergio’s Cuban Restaurant in Pembroke Pines. The casual event was organized to give members of the Pace community more opportunities to socialize with one another.

Guests reconnected with old friends and made new contacts as they dined on complimentary appetizers and drinks courtesy by Sergio’s. The evening would not have been possible without the help of Carlos Gazitua, the CEO and president of Sergio’s Family Restaurants and a Pace Class of 2000 alumnus. Gazitua graciously helped in providing the space for the event, and he was present at the Happy Hour mingling with fellow alumni.

The Pace Alumni Association will be hosting another Spartan Happy Hour later in 2016 in Miami-Dade County for those who might have been too far south to make it to Pembroke Pines. More information will come out as the day approaches.

The Pace Classes of 1976, 1986, 1996, and 2006 will be having their reunions in the coming months as well. The Pace Class of 1996 20-year reunion takes place on September 24 at Pace, the Class of 1976 40-year reunion takes place on October 10 at Pace, and the Class of 1986 30-year reunion also takes place on October 10, but outside of Pace. Details and a date for the Pace Class of 2006’s 10-year reunion have yet to be announced.  For more information on the Class of 2006 and other events, contact Alumni director Melanie Otero at motero@pacehs.com.
