On June 1, Monsignor Pace High School (Pace) held an induction ceremony for the new members of their National Spanish Honor Society (NSHS). Pace’s administration, faculty, staff and proud family members gathered as 11 of the 15 inductees were recognized for their hard work and dedication in their Spanish curriculum.

The induction took place at the school’s Administration Building, and NSHS Moderator Francisco Soto spoke about the values of this club and the many opportunities that it offers.

During the ceremony, candles were distributed and lit as the inductees recited the NSHS pledge in unison where they promise to dedicate themselves academically to the study of the Spanish language and recognize the strong binding power languages have among people of various origins, races and religions.

Each inductee was then presented with a certificate indicating that they are now part of the NSHS, and the group enjoyed a celebratory reception in their honor.
