On September 13, Monsignor Edward Pace High School (Pace) students had the opportunity to show their love and appreciation for their grandparents by inviting them to a special celebration in their honor.

Students attended a morning mass celebrated by Father Elvis A. Gonzalez, and the chapel was filled with the beautiful voices of the Pace choir. With the light of the rising sun streaming into the chapel windows, students stood alongside their supporting grandparents in song and prayer. The mass was given in Spanish as well as in English, making all grandparents feel welcome to the place where their grandchildren come each day to learn and grow as young adults.

At the end of the mass, special prayer cards were blessed and given to every grandparent in attendance as a reminder that they are an invaluable treasure in the lives of their families. Everyone took a moment to pose for a group photo before heading to a breakfast reception in Pace’s administration building. It was a special morning for students and grandparents alike, as they were able to take a few moments to relax, enjoy breakfast and spend quality time with their loved ones.
