When the students and faculty of Pace High School return from their long summer break, they will face new experiences in everyday school life with new classes, new students and new lunch schedules. The Pace community will also be welcomed with renovations to the Pace Plaza, a well known and beloved hangout for students.

“After six long years awaiting and developing this project, it brings me great joy to say it is finally done,” said Celia Rouco, Pace's director of Development.

The Pace administration believes in constantly bettering the Home of the Spartans. Academic standards, extracurricular activities, and sports for students are all high priorities, but the whole package comes together with the facilities. The remodeling of the Pace Plaza is a project that aims to beautify and modernize a very central location loved by all students.

“We strive to consistently improve our facilities. We want our campus to be a beautiful and pleasant environment for our students and school community to enjoy,” said Monica Marziano, chief operating officer.

The Pace Student Plaza remodeling is part of the Development Office “Brick Project”. Its main purpose is to keep the legacy of the thousands of Pace alumni as an integral part of the campus as well as giving the past graduates the opportunity to give back to their school and assure that Msgr. Edward Pace High School will continue its mission of excellence in Catholic education.

Students, families, faculty, and alumni of Pace can buy their own brick for only $125. Buyers have the choice of personalizing these special bricks with their own message, the name and year of a graduate or family member expressing their Spartan pride, or a congratulatory note for a teacher, an activity, or sporting event.

“I’m overjoyed that we were finally able to undertake this project and look forward to the next!” said Marziano.
