Pace High School welcomed 40 career professionals, including alumni, including recently elected Miami Lakes Mayor Manny Cid (Class of 2002), to present to its student body at its annual Career Day on February 3.

Students listened to and spoke with professionals from careers ranging as wide as attorneys and FBI agents to dog care experts and fitness specialists. Of the 40 presenters, 21 were also Pace alumni returning to their alma mater and giving back to their Pace family and the current Pace student body.

Both Cid and Miami Lakes Councilmember Nelson Rodriguez, a Class of 1987 Pace alumnus and firefighter, presented about their jobs as elected officials and other past careers.
“It's wonderful having so many professionals from such varied careers come and share with our students,” said Celia Rouco, director of Development at Pace. “It was particularly exciting to see so many alumni come back on campus and experience all the wonderful things happening at Pace today.”
