Students from Monsignor Edward Pace High School’s Future Business Leaders of America traveled to Orlando as competitors and voting delegates to the FBLA State Leadership Conference and Competition on March 23-26. Students had qualified to attend the conference after winning several first and second place awards in the district competitions in February.
At the conference, students competed in various business and career categories including banking, finances, mobile app development, entrepreneurship, and journalism. To compete, FBLA students submit projects for pre-judged events, take exams at the conference itself, or perform speeches for judges. Pace FBLA students also watched speeches, voted for FBLA state officers, and experienced the business world by meeting with professionals in their fields and fellow FBLA members.
Most notably, Pace senior Savion Constable placed in his category of Coding and Programming at the state conference. He qualified for the opportunity to compete at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California this summer.
