The Parent Academy of Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) has partnered with various library personnel including the Miami Lakes Branch to create a workshop series for parents and interested community members. The workshop series will cover multiple topics including rights, safety, and education standards and will be conducted monthly with hands-on activities.
Workshops will be held at the Miami Lakes Branch Library from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on February 23 (New Florida Standards), March 23 (Families Acting for Safety - Protecting your child from bullying), April 27 (Parents Rights and Responsibilities), and May 18 (Moving Up and Ahead - Your child’s transition to other grade levels).
