PSN teacher honored with Univision's Un Maestro award

Dr. Rossanna Chiarella, prekindergarten teacher at Palm Springs North Elementary School and Space Foundation Teacher Liaison Officer, was selected as one of the recipients of Univision’s “Un Maestro Especial” (A Special Teacher) award. Univision has partnered with Papa John’s Pizza to reward teachers making a distinct positive impact in children’s lives.

Chiarella, along with other recipients, will be honored at the 11th Annual Un Maestro Especial Awards luncheon in May at Miami Lakes Education Center (MLEC) for a commemoration that will highlight her accomplishments amongst colleagues and a group of her students. 

“Teachers are one of the most primary and influential people in our children’s lives. They are the backbone of our society’s future and the most inspirational, skillful and talented should be recognized,” said Angela G. Ramos, director of Community Empowerment for Univision.
