The Miami-Dade County School Board unanimously approved two items proposed by Board chair Perla Tabares Hantman to renew and extend the services of the Inspector General for an additional three years, and also endorse November 17 as National Parental Involvement Day.
“The Miami-Dade County Inspector General’s Office has provided knowledgeable, experienced and independent investigatory and audit services to Miami-Dade County Public Schools,” said Hantman. “I am proud to have been able to bring forth this initiative that celebrates the powerful contributions that parents and caregivers provide to support student success.”
