Karley Seeloff from GoNoodle.com selected Spanish Lake Elementary School’s fourth graders to demonstrate the positive classroom and school environment GoNoodle promotes. It is a free program and any teacher anywhere may create an online GoNoodle account. The movement based activities are aimed towards attention engagement and building a healthier body for students. GoNoodle is a Dade County approved program.

Cecile Palaez, an SLE fourth grade teacher and Miami Lakes resident, is an avid GoNoodle advocate. She shared that GoNoodle is easy to set up and has been the most effective and stimulating way to enhance her students’ transitions during the day.

In addition, Palaez likes that GoNoodle allows her students to move and be more interactive during the daily schedule. Although she enjoys using the entire program, she did state that her students really like the Nay-Nay, ChaCha slide, and Mindfulness (yoga). Her students love the growth of the virtual mascot which takes place as the class advances levels.
