The Dade County Council of Teachers of Mathematics recently held the annual Math Bowl at Pinecrest Preparatory Middle-High School. Students, along with their school sponsors, represented Spanish Lake Elementary in the Math Relay, Individual Problem Solving, and Team Problem Solving Events. Over fifty Dade County Schools participated. Placing second in the Individual Problem Solving event was Kevin Perez.
The 2nd and 3rd grade participants in the SLE Mathematics bowl (pictured on the left) were Kevin Perez, Justin Sanchez, Kaden Julmis, Adam Garcia, and Pamela Escobar, SLE Math Bowl sponsor. The 4th and 5th grade participants (pictured on the right) were Joshua Badillo, Frank DeLaTerga, Mike Flores, Sofia Crissien, and Jennifer Meneses, SLE Math Bowl Sponsor.
