Education Wednesday, March 19, 2014

Spanish Lake Elementary School's (SLE) Grade "A" Flag Presentation was held on Thursday, February 27. The flag, presented by State Representative, Manny Diaz Jr., serves as a symbol of excellence to inform students, parents, and the community that the school is an "A" school.

SLE has maintained the School Accountability Grade of "A" ever since its opening in August 2007, with six consecutive "A" grades.

Consistent success is due to the diligent teamwork of all stakeholders including the Miami-Dade School Board under the leadership of School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman, and National Superintendent of the Year, Alberto M. Carvalho and his dedicated staff, State Representative Manny Diaz, Jr., North Region administrative support, the entire SLE family, and community support.

The SLE administration proudly flies the new "A" grade flag under the American flag as an inspiration for continued educational success.

The inspiring presentation concluded with performances from the SLE Bells Group, chorus, junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders.
