In celebration of Father's In Education Week, Spanish Lake Elementary (SLE) hosted a gathering called “Doughnuts for Dads Morning” in the media center. It was invigorating and enjoyable to witness over 800 dads sharing a morning doughnut, juice and coffee.
In addition, SLE’s administrators treated the staff for Teacher Appreciation Week May 7 through 11, with daily surprises in store.
On Monday, there was a leave early pass. Tuesday was a sweet treat day with refreshments. Teachers were gifted a margarita glass with a beaded charm that the staff hand decorated on their own during planning time.
Wednesday was a scrumptious breakfast and a social hour after work at Anacapri. Thursday was a delicious paella luncheon.
On Friday, SLE staff painted tiles that art teachers will then put in the tile collection on the outside wall to commemorate the SLE staff of 2018.
