Spanish Lake Elementary introduces MakerSpace

Education Tuesday, November 27, 2018

Spanish Lake Elementary (SLE) has opened a MakerSpace for students in the fifth grade level. A MakerSpace is an area that starts with inquiry. Students come for hands-on, creative ways to encourage them to design, experiment, build and invent. They are deeply engaged in science, engineering and tinkering. This area is filled with objects to enhance problem solving, critical thinking, and most importantly, cooperation. Thanks to Publix Charities, this area became a reality at SLE.
